Country Feasibility
Receive expert assessments on whether a clinical study can be conducted in Sweden.
Find out whether a clinical study can be conducted in Sweden
A Country Feasibility request provides an early expert assessment of whether a clinical study is feasible within Swedish healthcare.
The assessment is made by experts within the relevant therapeutic area and is based on factors such as patient population, recruitment opportunities, study design and Swedish standard of care. It provides input for continued study planning and decisions on whether Sweden is relevant for the study. Experts may also express interest in participating in the study.

How Country Feasibility works
1. Submit a Country Feasibility request
Describe the study and attach relevant supporting material.
2. The request is reviewed
The coordinating team reviews the request and contacts you if any information needs to be clarified or completed.
3. Experts are contacted
The request is sent to experts within the relevant therapeutic area.
4. Structured responses are collected
Responses are collected in Feasibility Sweden and provide input for continued study planning.
Information included in a Country Feasibility request
For experts to make a relevant assessment, basic information about the study is provided, including:
- therapeutic area
- type of study
- description of the medicinal product or medical device
- description of the patient population
- any requirements for specialist expertise or equipment
- protocol synopsis or equivalent study information, if available
You may also add your own questions if needed.
Avoid company-specific questionnaires
You may add your own questions to the Country Feasibility request if needed. However, to ensure a fast and comparable process, company-specific questionnaires should not be attached through Feasibility Sweden.
Such questions are better suited for later contact with investigators or clinical sites that have expressed interest in the study.
Standardised questions provide faster responses
In a Country Feasibility request, experts answer a standardised questionnaire, the Early Feedback Form. This makes it easier for experts to respond and provides clearer and more comparable input.
Confidentiality and CDA
At this stage, company-specific Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements (CDAs) are normally not established. Instead, reference may be made to Swedish healthcare confidentiality legislation.
The Swedish Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry has prepared guidance regarding confidentiality protection in relation to public authorities under the Swedish Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, as well as suggested standard wording for reference.
